And what I love the most about this pound cake is it taste even better on the second day. Perfect and moist cake is all about the ingredients. Use fresh ingredients whenever possible. Also it is best to have your ingredient at room temperature before you start.

All-Purpose Flour, Sugar, Butter, Eggs, Vanilla Extract, Lemon Extract, Lemon Juice, 7-Up Soda and Confectioners Sugar

3. Instructions for 7Up Pound Cake

Step 1: Preheat the Oven

Ingredients

  • 3 Cups All-Purpose Flour

  • 3 Cups Sugar

  • 1-1/2 Cups Butter

  • 5 Eggs

  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract

  • 1 tsp Lemon Extract

  • 1 Tbsp Lemon Juice

  • 3/4 Cup 7-Up Soda

  • For the Glaze:

  • 1-1/2 Cups Confectioners Sugar

  • 1 Tbsp Lemon Juice

  • 2 Tbsps 7-Up Soda

Directions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees
  • Make sure the eggs and butter are at room temperature before using.
  • Using a stand mixer cream together the sugar and butter.
  • Add the eggs one at a time.
  • Add the lemon juice, lemon extract, vanilla extract and continue mixing.
  • Alternately add the flour and seven up and continue mixing until well combined.
  • Add the batter to the bundt pan then transfer to the preheated oven and bake for 50 minutes or until a toothpick placed near the center of the cake come out clean.
  • After removing the cake from the oven, place it on a wire rack to cool for 15 to 20 minutes before attempting to move it from the pan.
  • After 15 minutes remove the cake from the pan and place it on the wire rack.
  • To make the glaze, combine the confectioners sugar, lemon juice and seven up.
  • Drizzle over the cake the allow it to sit for 15 minutes before serving.
