To make these oven-baked barbecue ribs, you will need:

  • Rack of Ribs: for this recipe I am using beef ribs but pork ribs will work with this recipe as well.
  • Canola Oil: Canola oil aids the spice mix to adhere to the ribs.
  • BBQ Sauce: Use store bought or homemade
  • Onion Powder: Onion powder balances the garlic powder and enhances the overall flavor of the ribs.
  • Garlic Powder: Garlic powder adds a slight garlicky taste to your ribs
  • Salt: The salt brings all the flavors together
  • Black Pepper: Black pepper gives the ribs slight heat.

Step 1: Combine Your Seasonings

Make sure to preheat your oven to 385 degrees. In a small bowl add the salt, pepper, onion powder and garlic powder and mix well.

  • After 3 1/2 hours hrs remove the ribs from the oven then brush with the barbecue sauce. Change the oven setting to broil then return the ribs to the oven and cook for 3 minutes. Once they have cooked for 3 minutes they are ready to serve

Ingredients

  • 4 1/2 lbs Beef Ribs

  • 1/4 Cup Barbecue Sauce

  • 3 Tbsps Canola Oil

  • 1 Tbsp Onion Powder

  • 1 Tbsp. Garlic Powder

  • 1 Tbsp. Black Pepper

  • 1 Tbsp Salt
