Sheet pan shrimp and sausage is a delicious and easy one-pan meal that’s perfect for a summer weeknight or weekend meal. I also referred to this recipe as my baked shrimp boil. It is super easy to make and can be done in half the time as a traditional shrimp boil. It’s great when served alone or it can be paired with several side dishes such as dirty rice, mac and cheese or collard greens.

How to Make Sheet Pan Shrimp and Sausage:

Preheat your oven to 400 degrees. Add the potatoes to a large pot then cover with water. Boil the potatoes for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes turn off the heat then run cold water over the potatoes.

In a small saucepan melt your butter then add the garlic, parsley flakes and one tablespoon of garlic powder. Stir until your butter has completely melted then set it aside until later.

In a small bowl, mix together the paprika, Old Bay seasoning and one tablespoon of garlic powder. Season the shrimp with two tablespoons of the seasoning mixture.

Add the shrimp, potatoes, sausage onion and bell peppers to the sheet pan. Evenly coat with the garlic butter then season with the remaining seasoning. Mix well making sure that your seasonings are evenly distributed. Transfer to the preheated oven and allow it to cook for 20 minutes.

Here are some variations on the recipe:

  • You can use any type of sausage you like. If you are looking for a little kick andouille sausage works great.
  • For a spicier dish, add some cayenne pepper or chili powder to the mixture.
  • If you want to add more vegetables, and more vegetables are always good, you can add zucchini, tomatoes or other peppers.
  • For a finishing touch, drizzle the dish with balsamic vinegar or lemon juice.

Here are some tips for storing and reheating the dish:

  • The dish can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • To reheat, simply place the dish in a preheated oven at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 10-15 minutes, or until heated through.
