Crispy Buffalo Wings Recipe
Last Updated on February 6, 2026 by Barbara
A game day spread without Crispy Buffalo Wings feels like a stadium without a crowd, it’s just incomplete! There’s a reason these wings are the undisputed heavyweight champions of party food. It’s all about that perfect contrast: the satisfying shatter of golden, crispy skin followed by meat so juicy it practically melts.
I love wings because they’re the ultimate crowd pleaser. Whether you’re tossing them in a mild glaze for the kids or a fiery butter sauce for the spice lovers, they’re incredibly easy to customize. I usually serve them as the star appetizer, but they’re just as good as a side dish for a bigger soulful meal. When that spicy aroma starts wafting through the kitchen, you know the party has officially started. They go great with waffle fries, curly fries or even dirty rice. However you choose to serve them they won’t last long.

As tasty as these wings are, it’s great to know that they only take a few simple ingredients to make. You will need
Chicken Wings, Salt, Onion Powder, Garlic Powder, Black Pepper, Hot Sauce, Butter, Ketchup and Canola Oil
Step 2: Seasoning the Wings
For this recipe I use simple seasonings to create a little flavor with a lot of kick.
Combine the salt, onion powder, garlic powder and black pepper in a bowl and mix until well combined. Make sure the wings have been cleaned and dried. Season the wings with the seasoning mixture then set them aside.
Step 3: Frying the Wings
Add the oil to a pot or Dutch Oven then bring to temperature. Fry the wings in small batches for 12 minutes. After 12 minutes, remove them from the oil and set them aside.
Step 4: Making the Buffalo Sauce
In a saucepan, melt the butter. Add the hot sauce and ketchup then mix until well combined. Remove from the heat then set it aside.
Step 5: Tossing the Wings in Buffalo Sauce
The final step is to ensure your wings are covered with that delicious buffalo sauce.
Pour the Buffalo sauce over the wings then toss the wings in the Buffalo sauce then serve.
