How to Make American Goulash
Goulash is a hearty and flavorful one dish meal that is easy to make any day of the week. I remember eating this as a kid and it was always one of my favorite dishes. I would top it with shredded cheese and eat it with a piece of toast or roll. It is so satisfying. This recipe is the American version of goulash made with ground beef, macaroni and rich tomato sauce. This comfort food is great as a stand alone meal served with a side salad and garlic bread. It can also be served as a side dish with chicken and veggies.

1. Ingredients
Ground Beef, Elbow Macaroni, Onion, Garlic, Beef Broth, Weather, Worcestershire Sauce, Tomato Sauce, Diced Tomatoes, Bay leaves, Italian seasoning, Black Pepper, Seasoned Salt and Salt
2. Browning the Ground Beef for Goulash
Using medium-high heat, bring a dutch oven to temperature then add the ground beef. Season with the salt and pepper and continue to brown your ground beef.
3. Making the Sauce for Goulash
Add the onion and garlic and continue to cook until your onion is translucent. Add the water and beef broth then bring your liquid to a light boil.
Add the tomato sauce and diced tomatoes then mix well
Add the Worcestershire sauce, season salt and Italian seasoning then mix well.
Now add the bay leaves cover then allow it to cook for 15 minutes.
4. Adding the Macaroni and Simmering
After 15 minutes add the macaroni then cover and allow it to cook for an additional 15 minutes then it is ready to serve.
