15 Bean Soup Slow Cooker Recipe - From the Queen of Soul Food Cooking

Ingredients
  

  • 20 oz 15 bean soup mix
  • 12 oz andouille sausage
  • ½ lb chicken breasts
  • 4 Cups chicken stock
  • 2 Cups water
  • 1 Cup onion
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 stalks celery
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1- ½ tsps kosher salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper

Method
 

  1. Slice the sausage and chicken into small pieces then set them aside.
  2. Place the chicken in the slow cooker then season with the onion powder, garlic powder, salt and pepper.
  3. Add the sausage and the dry beans.
  4. Add the celery, onion and garlic then pour in the water and chicken stock.
  5. Mix all the ingredients well then cover and allow it to cook on high for four hours
