Beef Tips Recipe - How to Make Beef Tips

Beef Tips are cooked low and slow until the beef is tender. Made in a rich, flavorful sauce with mushrooms and onion. Great for Sunday dinner or any night of the week.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 lbs Stew Beef
  • 4 Cups Beef Broth
  • 5 Tbsps Canola Oil
  • 2 Tbsps Cornstarch
  • 2 Cups Mushroom
  • 1/2 Onion
  • 3 cloves Garlic
  • 2 Tbsps Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 Bay Leaf
  • 1 tsp Browning
  • 1 Tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 4 Tbsps Water
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1/2 tsp Salt

Method
 

  1. Using medium heat bring a dutch oven to temperature then add the oil.
  2. Brown your beef.
  3. Remove the beef from the oven and set it aside.
  4. Sauté the onions for 4 minutes.
  5. Add the garlic and continue to sauté for another 3 minutes.
  6. Add the mushroom and cook for 2 minute.
  7. Return the beef to the oven then season with the salt and black pepper.
  8. Add the beef broth, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce and bay leaves then bring to a boil.
  9. Reduce heat to medium low, cover and cook for 1 hour 40 minutes.
  10. After an hour and 40 minutes.
  11. Mix together the cornstarch and water then it to the oven.
  12. Add the browning and continue to cook until your gravy has thickened then it is ready to serve.
