Ingredients
- 1-1/2 chicken wings
- 1 cup barbecue sauce (your favorite brand)
- 1 cup honey
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
Method
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Thoroughly wash your chicken wings and pat them dry with paper towels.
- In a large bowl, toss the chicken wings with olive oil until each wing is evenly coated. Then, season the wings with salt, black pepper, and paprika, mixing well to ensure even distribution.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the barbecue sauce, honey, and soy sauce until you have a smooth, well-combined sauce.
- Place the seasoned chicken wings on a wire rack set over a baking sheet. This allows for even cooking and crispy skin. Bake the wings for 20 minutes.
- Remove the wings from the oven and generously brush them with the honey BBQ sauce. Ensure each wing is well coated. Return the wings to the oven for another 20 minutes.
- Remove the wings again, apply another coat of sauce, and increase the oven temperature to 425°F (220°C). Bake for a final 20 minutes, or until the wings are caramelized and cooked through.
