- 1 lb chicken wings
- 1 cup honey
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning, divided
- 2 tsp garlic powder
- 2 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp salt
Method
- In a small bowl, combine the salt, black pepper, paprika, 1 tsp of the Cajun seasoning, and garlic powder.
- Mix until well combined.
- Ensure your chicken wings are clean and thoroughly dried.
- Place the wings in a large bowl, then sprinkle the baking powder over them.
- Add the seasoning mixture to the wings and toss until all pieces are evenly coated.
- Place the seasoned wings in the air fryer in small batches, making sure not to overcrowd them.
- Set the air fryer temperature to 390°F (200°C).
- Cook the wings for 20 minutes, flipping them halfway through for even cooking.
- Once cooked, remove the wings from the air fryer and set them aside.
- In a small pot over medium heat, melt the butter.
- Add the honey and the remaining Cajun seasoning to the pot.
- Stir until the ingredients are fully combined and the sauce is smooth.
- Place the cooked wings in a large bowl.
- Pour the honey Cajun sauce over the wings and toss until each piece is well coated.
- Serve the wings hot, and enjoy the sweet and spicy flavor of these crispy honey Cajun wings.
