Ingredients
- 2 lbs Skirt Steak
- 1 Green Bell Pepper
- 1 Red Bell Pepper
- 6 Scallions
- 3 cloves Garlic
- 1 Tbsp Grated Ginger
- 6 Tbsp Cooking Sherry
- 6 Tbsps Soy Sauce
- 6 tsps Cornstarch
- 5 tsps Brown Sugar
- 2 Tbsps Oyster Sauce
- 1 Tbsp Sesame Oil
- 4 tsps Rice Vinegar
- 1 Tbsp Black Pepper
- 4 Tbsps Canola Oil
Method
- Add the steak to a large bowl then add two tablespoons of soy sauce and mix well.
- In another bowl combine the Sherry and the remaining four tablespoons of soy sauce.
- Pour in the sesame oil and rice vinegar.
- Add the oyster sauce, brown sugar and black pepper.
- Add the cornstarch then whisk until well combined.
- Using medium heat bring your pan to temperature then add your oil.
- Add the steak to the pan and allow it to Brown for 4 minutes.
- After four minutes remove it from the pan and set it aside until later.
- To your pan add the white portion of your scallion garlic and ginger and saute for one minute.
- Add the green bell pepper, red bell pepper and the green portion of your scallion and saute for two minutes.
- Return the steak to the pan then add the sauce and allow it to simmer for four minutes.
