Ingredients

  • 2 lbs lamb chops
  • 3 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (divided)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 1 tablespoon ginger paste
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Method

  1. In a small bowl, combine the salt, black pepper, thyme, and garlic powder. Mix these ingredients until they are well combined. Set the seasoning mixture aside.
  2. In another bowl, combine the balsamic vinegar, vegetable oil, and honey. Add the minced garlic, ginger paste, and lemon zest to the mixture. Stir until all the ingredients are well combined.
  3. Place the lamb chops in a large bowl. Drizzle 1 tablespoon of olive oil over the lamb chops, ensuring they are evenly coated.
  4. Generously season the lamb chops with the seasoning mixture, ensuring each chop is well coated.
  5. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil to the pan. Once the pan is hot, place the lamb chops in the skillet and sear them for about 4 minutes on each side until they are nicely browned.
  6. After searing the lamb chops, pour the prepared honey glaze over them. Use a brush or spoon to coat both sides of the lamb chops evenly with the glaze.
  7. Continue cooking the lamb chops for an additional 3 minutes, allowing the glaze to thicken and create a rich, flavorful coating. Once the lamb chops are cooked through and the glaze has thickened, remove them from the skillet. Let them rest for a few minutes before serving to allow the juices to redistribute.
