Preheat the oven to 350 degrees
Make sure the eggs and butter are room temperature before using.
Using a stand mixer cream together the sugar and butter. Add the eggs one at a time.
Add the baking powder then slowly incorporate the flour.
Add the nutmeg, almond extract and vanilla extract and mix until well incorporated and has a dough like consistency.
Flour a clean surface then using a rolling pin, roll out your dough.
Using a glass or a cookie cutter cut out your tea cakes.
Place them on a baking sheet then transfer to the preheated oven and bake for 20 minutes.
After 20 minutes remove from the oven and allow them to sit for 5 minutes.
After 5 minutes they are ready to serve.
