Ingredients
- 1 ½ lbs Ground Beef
- 1 Tbsp All-purpose Flour
- 1 Cup Onion
- 1 Cup Mushrooms
- ½ Bread Crumbs
- 1 Egg
- ½ Cup Beef Broth
- 1 French Onion Soup
- 1 Tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
- 1 Tbsp Ketchup
- ½ tsp Ground Mustard
- 1 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1 tsp Black Pepper
- 1 tsp Salt
Method
- Season the ground beef with the ground mustard, garlic powder, salt and pepper.
- Now add the bread crumbs and eggs and mix until well incorporated.
- Form the ground beef into oval shaped patties then set them aside.
- In a separate bowl, combine onion soup beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup and flour. Whisk until all of the flour has dissolved.
- In a frying pan, cook the ground steaks for 5 minutes on each side then remove them from the pan. Sauté the onions 3 minutes.
- Add the mushrooms and sauté for an additional 3 minutes.
- Pour in the gravy mixture and bring to a light simmer. Return the ground steaks to the pan. Reduce heat to medium low, cover and allow the steaks to cook for 10 minutes.
