Teriyaki Chicken Bowl Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • 2 lbs Chicken Breast
  • 1 Pineapple
  • 2 tsps Minced Ginger
  • ½ Cup Low Sodium Soy Sauce
  • 2 tsps Sesame Oil
  • 3 tsps Water
  • 3 Tbsps Brown Sugar
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp White Pepper
  • 2 Tbsps Canola Oil
  • 2 Tbsps Pineapple Juice
  • Cooked Rice

Method
 

  1. Using a sharp knife, slice the pineapple in half then score the pineapple.
  2. Remove the flesh of the pineapple then set it aside until later.
  3. Add the cornstarch to the water and mix until well combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, add the soy sauce, pineapple juice and sesame oil.
  5. Add the garlic and ginger.
  6. Add the brown sugar and whisk until well combined.
  7. Using medium-high heat bring your pan to temperature then add the oil and cook the chicken for 10 minutes.
  8. Add the soy sauce and bring to a light simmer.
  9. Pour in the cornstarch slurry and mix until the sauce has thickened.
  10. Add the rice to the pineapple bowl, top with the chicken then it is ready to serve.
