Ingredients
- 2 22-ounce cans Bush's Grilling Beans
- 4 slices bacon
- 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- 2 tablespoons barbecue sauce
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 1 tablespoon molasses
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1/2 cup onion chopped
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Method
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
- Bring a large oven-safe skillet to temperature over medium heat, then fry the bacon until crispy and golden brown.
- Remove the bacon from the pan and set aside, leaving the bacon grease in the pan.
- Add the chopped onion to the pan and saute for 2 minutes until translucent.
- Add the minced garlic and saute for 1 more minute.
- Add the beans, Dijon mustard, ketchup, barbecue sauce, molasses, and apple cider vinegar. Mix until well combined.
- Add the brown sugar, smoked paprika, chili powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir until worked through the pan.
- Bring the beans to a light simmer.
- Crumble the reserved bacon and stir it into the beans.
- Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake uncovered for 30 minutes.
- Remove from oven, let rest for 5 minutes, and serve.
