  • 3 tbsp honey

  • 5 tbsp ketchup

  • sugar

  • 3 tbsp water

  • sesame seeds (for garnish)

  • Place the chicken pieces in a bowl. Add salt, garlic powder, and white pepper.
  • Pour in the water and mix until the chicken is evenly coated and well combined.
  • In a separate bowl, combine the sugar, ketchup, honey and water. Mix well until smooth and set aside.

  • Stir in the canola oil until the batter is smooth and lump-free.
  • Add the seasoned chicken to the batter, mixing until each piece is evenly coated.

  • Once all batches are done, return the chicken to the oil and fry again for 4 more minutes, or until crispy and golden brown.
