Instructions for Chocolate Chip Walnut Cookies

Step 1: Prepping for Baking

Begin by preheating your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Ensure all your ingredients are at room temperature for optimal blending.

Step 2: Preparing the Dry Mixture

In a spacious bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Whisk these ingredients thoroughly until they’re well incorporated. Set this dry mixture aside for later use.

Step 3: Creaming the Sugars and Butter

Using a stand mixer, blend together the brown sugar, granulated sugar, and butter until they form a creamy, consistent mixture.

Step 4: Incorporate Wet Ingredients

Gradually add the eggs one at a time, ensuring they’re fully integrated. Pour in the vanilla extract, continuing to mix the ingredients together.

Step 5: Blend Ingredients

Slowly introduce the dry flour mixture into the wet ingredients. Allow the mixer to combine them evenly, forming a cohesive dough.

t’s time to elevate the dough’s flavor profile. Fold in the chocolate chips and walnuts, ensuring they’re evenly distributed throughout the dough.

Chill the Dough by placing in the refrigerator for at least an hour. This resting period not only melds the flavors but also helps the cookies retain their shape during baking.

Step 6: Baking the Chocolate Chip Walnut Cookies

After the chilling time is up, remove the cookie dough from the refrigerator. Using a 1/4 cup scoop, form the dough into individual cookies.

*Positioning for Baking: Note the type of oven you have – for electric ovens, place the cookies on the lower rack, while for gas ovens, opt for the top rack. Slide the prepared cookies into the preheated oven. Let them bake for 13 to 17 minutes, or until they achieve that perfect golden hue.
