How to Make Garlic Parmesan Wings

In making these oven-baked garlic parmesan wings, you have a few choices. No need to pull out the deep fryer, you can skip the grease and you can make them in an air fryer or you can oven bake them. For this recipe I chose to bake them in the other. Either choice will yield the crispy and tasty wings.

Ingredients

Start with high-quality chicken wings and fresh ingredients. The flavors will shine through, elevating the dish to new heights. You will need:

chicken wings, garlic powder, paprika, kosher salt, black pepper, butter, minced garlic, parmesan cheese and fresh parsley

What You will Need:

Instructions for Garlic Parmesan Wings

Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).

Season the Wings

season the chicken

In a large bowl, combine garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Add the chicken wings and toss until they’re evenly coated.

Bake the Wings

Place the seasoned wings on a wire rack set over a baking sheet. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until cooked through and the skin is crispy. Allow the wings to cook until they achieve that crispy, golden exterior in the oven. This step ensures the wings are cooked through and the skin is delightfully crisp.

Making the Sauce

While the wings are baking, melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 3 minutes, stirring frequently. Add the parsley and sauté for an additional 2 minutes. Make sure to sauté the garlic and parsley in butter and allow their flavors to meld and infuse into the wings. This will create a depth of taste in every bite. Remove from the pan from the heat once this is achieved.

Coat the Wings

Once the wings are cooked, transfer them to a large bowl. Pour the garlic butter mixture over the wings and toss to coat evenly.

Sprinkle the parmesan cheese over the wings and toss again until well coated. Ensure the wings are evenly coated with the garlic butter before generously sprinkling the parmesan cheese. This step ensures every morsel is packed with flavor.

Other Tasty Options

What to do with Leftovers?

If you can manage to not eat all of your wings in one setting, then place them in a shallow airtight container or a resealable plastic bag. Squeeze out as much air as you can before sealing. Store the container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days.

To Reheat your leftovers, to achieve the best texture and flavor use an oven or air fryer.

  • In the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Spread the wings in a single layer on a baking sheet and bake for 10-15 minutes, or until heated through and the skin is crispy again.
  • In the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C). Arrange the wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket and cook for 5-7 minutes, or until heated through.

Important Note: Avoid reheating leftover wings in the microwave, as it will make them mushy.

Indulge in Garlic Parmesan Bliss

As the tantalizing aroma of roasted garlic and savory parmesan fills the air, prepare to indulge in a culinary escapade like no other. Each bite of these perfectly seasoned, buttery, and cheese-laden wings offers a symphony of flavors—a harmonious blend of garlic’s pungency, buttery richness, and the umami goodness of parmesan cheese.
