15 Bean Soup is one of my favorite comfort food meals. Soup is so good, especially during the cold winter months. I love a hearty soup full of veggies, beans and meat. This soup recipe can serve as a meal in a bowl or as a side soup to fried chicken, fried fish or pork chops. Making this soup in a slow cooker (crockpot) is super easy. Today I will share with you my hearty recipe that will have your taste buds dancing.

  • 20 oz 15 bean soup mix

  • 12 oz andouille sausage

  • ½ lb chicken breasts

  • 4 Cups chicken stock

  • 2 Cups water

  • 1 Cup onion

  • 2 cloves garlic

  • 2 stalks celery

  • 1 tsp onion powder

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1- ½ tsps kosher salt

  • 1 tsp black pepper

Directions

  • Slice the sausage and chicken into small pieces then set them aside.
  • Place the chicken in the slow cooker then season with the onion powder, garlic powder, salt and pepper.
  • Add the sausage and the dry beans.
  • Add the celery, onion and garlic then pour in the water and chicken stock.
  • Mix all the ingredients well then cover and allow it to cook on high for four hours
